Luisa Piccarreta
The Little Daughter of the Divine Will
Video one of an Introduction to the Servant of God, Luisa Piccarreta.
Fiat
Born on April 23, 1865
April 23, 1874, exactly nine years later, she receives her first holy communion and is confirmed. She begins to hear the voice of Jesus in a very particular way (noting that the voice of Jesus is heard in every Mass and in other ways).
1878, during pontificate of Pope Leo XIII, she has her first vision of Jesus from her apartment balcony as he walks the street carrying his cross and speaks to her: “Soul, help me!”
1881, accepts state of victim and is occasionally confined to bed.
1882, at the age of 17 she composes her Christmas novena, also known as the nine excesses of love. This novena can be found at the start and end of Luisa’s first volume, plus in Divine Will prayer books. As of the time of writing, my wife is also writing a book to assist in promoting this beautiful novena. In volume 25, Jesus reveals to her that this novena is the prelude to all of his teachings on the Gift of Living in the Divine Will.
Between 1888 and 1900 Luisa experiences several mystical marriages in which she is also centred in the Divine Will.
February 28, 1899, Luisa begins writing her diaries which later become known as ‘The Book of Heaven’ often referred to as ‘The Volumes’. The formal title is on the front of this website.
October 7, 1928, Luisa moves into the House of the Divine Will, Corato, begins writing volume 25 which is the start of the teachings on the Fiat of Sanctification.
Luisa Died on March 4, 1947, which is exactly 18 years before my wife was born. I like that my wife and Luisa share a birthday!
As of the time of writing, Luisa is a ‘Servant of God’ in respect of her canonisation process.
